PERLOZA MT500
It is very porous cellulose gel which can be used for high flow and high pressure load. Perloza MT500 is suitable not only as fuel in laboratory preparative columns, but especially large columns on a commercial scale.
High chemical stability
Perloza MT500 satisfies demands for wide use in all types of liquid chromatography of biopolymers can be sterilized by autoclaving, high pH, or use of antimicrobial agents.
High mechanical stability
Perloza MT500 is a semi-rigid gel with high pressure resistance (up to a few atmospheres). Due to the high rigidity of the particles it is possible to achieve high flow rates without to compress the gel. Changes in ionic strength or pH have minimal influence on the change in volume of the gel bed. It is therefore possible to carry out elution salt gradient or pH, or perform sterilization gels directly in column (cleaning-in-place) .Vysoká permeability layers at low pressure losses provides excellent flow properties of the chromatographic conditions and allows applications in all scales, particularly at industrial processes.
high hydrophilicity
Due to the high content of hydroxyl (-OH) groups in the polysaccharide chain is Perloza MT500 strongly hydrophilic medium and is therefore well tolerated biosystems.
Perloza MT500 may be further modified. All methods used for activation or derivatization soft gels with polysaccharide matrices are directly or with minor modifications also applicable to Perloz MT500.
This fact has been used in preparation of a number of modified cellulose derivative in spherical form. PERLOZOVÁ matrix may be due to its properties ideal carrier for the preparation of:
- affinity chromatography sorbents for bioaffinity
- sorbents ion exchange groups to ion exchange chromatography
- special sorbents and modified cellulose derivatives
- immobilization of enzymes
- gel filtration of biopolymers
The fundamental figure characterizing PERLOZUMT500 terms of separation capability is porosity. The porosity is expressed in both the volume of the layer, i.e. the degree of swelling of the gel (these values indicate that one gram of dry gel in a swollen state fills the indicated volume), by its size fractionation, i.e. the range of weight (size) of macromolecules for which the porous system available ( molecules can penetrate into the pores).

Perloza MT500 is suitable for use in liquid column chromatography, may find application especially in various separation and filtration processes in the field of biotechnology, food industry, pharmaceutical industry and other industries processing natural products.
Apart from the traditional use of porous materials for separation and chromatographic purposes can Perloza used for less conventional applications, e.g. in the pharmaceutical industry and in health care as a material for the preparation of absorbent powders.
